General

• Responds to and provides reference services to a range of publics including: academics, genealogists, cultural producers, educators, community organizations, the general public, and internal UJA staff
• Develops audience-appropriate research guides and tools for accessing the OJA’s collection, both in-person and online
• Applies applicable privacy and access procedures according to legislation and OJA policies
• Completes reproduction requests and all legal contracts for use and publication
• Performs basic preservation actions as required
• Digitizes as required and ingests collections into OJA’s digital repository
• Monitors use of reference room and storytelling lab (to open in late 2027)
• Develops programming opportunities for OJA’s storytelling lab
• Curates storytelling submissions received through the OJA’s website
• Contributes content to OJA’s newsletters, UJA’s communications channels, and OJA’s social media platforms
• Works closely with archivists to profile and highlight new acquisitions and researcher profiles across OJA platforms
• Develops and leads community archival literacy workshops
• Supports the OJA team with additional outreach and archival work as needed, including physical control and collection management responsibilities, curatorial research and design, speaking engagements, and walking tour administration.

Reference Archivist

• Support the Centre for Family Philanthropy projects, events and workflow
• Assist with Fund communications, and coordinate fund contributions and distributions, primarily with the Giving Fund portfolio
• Support the various multigenerational engagement opportunities and initiatives led at the Centre
• Support the creation, organization, and department-wide tracking of family engagement materials and curriculum used by the Foundation team leads
• Responsible for communicating with Jewish Foundation stakeholders
• Assist with outreach to Giving Fund donors including emails, quarterly and annual mailings, and ensure accurate reporting of fund information to donors
• Take minutes at meetings, preparing minutes, and following up on key action items
• Develop and maintain simple computer databases, take calls, filing and other office administration duties
• Contribute to the coordination of writing, editing and layout of Giving Fund reports and other report content

Senior Coordinator, Jewish Foundation

• Provide individualized mentorship to B’not Sherut
• Guide and support B’not Sherut in implementing educational initiatives
• Participate in regular team meetings to address mentoring challenges
• Plan and coordinate the B’not Sherut interview and selection process
• Manage all program logistics including transport and wellness
• Support B’not Sherut’s independent living arrangements and day-to-day wellness
• Prepare and present periodic progress reports to the Donor

Content Writer

• Develop high-quality written content including speeches, executive communications, donor communications, speaking notes, and presentations.
• Serve as a primary writer for senior leaders, translating their ideas into compelling communications.
• Research, interview subject matter experts, and synthesize complex information into audience-focused content.
• Support organizational initiatives, fundraising efforts, advocacy priorities, and community engagement through strategic communications.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Communications, Marketing, Fundraising, and Events.
• Ensure consistency with organizational messaging, voice, and brand standards.
• Edit and refine content to ensure quality and effectiveness.
• Monitor emerging issues, trends, and community conversations that may impact communications priorities.
