Customer Support

• Provide Remote support, via phone queues and live chat assistance, to all applications used to facilitate rental transactions and daily functions of U-Haul field and internal personnel.
• Troubleshoot U-Haul owned and maintained peripherals, ie: printers, cash drawers, mobile devices, computer workstations, credit card payment terminals, modems, routers, switches, etc.
• Identify software discrepancies and report to development teams for resolution.
• Research issues and assist in swift incidence and response scenarios.
• Tier 1 issue troubleshooting and resolution with full documentation and escalation as applicable.
• Trace possible network issues that impede the proper function of the software and escalate as appropriate.
• Identify Voice and VoIP issues and resolve or escalate as appropriate.
• Assist with resetting, and troubleshoot User softphone equipment.
• Build and manage field mobile devices using Meraki.
• Work with routers, switches, and modems on a Tier 1 level.

POS Support Specialist

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.
• Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
• Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment)
• Other duties as assigned
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Customer Service Representative

Manager

• Work with small businesses within your designated route to prospect, open and grow the U-Haul dealership organization.
• Develop and manage business relationships with small business owners and U-Haul dealerships to provide professional insight into local markets and the ability to train and educate dealers on areas for potential growth.
• Manage your routes profit and loss through careful analysis to effectively grow your route through transactions by providing products and services to the communities you serve.
• Service and maintain current U-Haul equipment and displays to ensure operational excellence and marketability.
• Work with support staff to ensure the success of U-Haul dealerships within your route with efficiency.
• Operate a properly stocked and maintained U-Haul service vehicle that will be used to properly distribute equipment throughout your route.
• Perform minor repair and maintenance on U-Haul equipment.
• Arrange for the recovery of lost, stolen or abandoned U-Haul equipment.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Area Field Manager

• Support the site manager with facility operations.
• Answer phone inquiries from active and prospective customers.
• Show storage units, explain the terms of rental agreements and prepare rental contracts.
• Perform general routine property cleanup and minor repair work.
• Ensure that all vacant storage units are clean, dry, secure and available for new customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
