About the role
- Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence
- Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects
- Manage and assign team members to ensure customers receive excellent first impressions and highest quality of care
- Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
- Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University
- Ensure adherence to safety precautions and use of protective gear when necessary
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record
- Leadership experience in any form
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work a variety of shifts
- Ability to install hitches, brake controllers, etc. (miscellaneous technical duties)
- Ability to perform physical exertion including moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted
- Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals and use protective clothing or gear as needed
- Consistent with applicable state law, U-Haul will not hire or re-hire individuals who use nicotine products in certain states
