Engage with producers, farmers and factories and act as first point of contact in assigned region(s).
Organise and conduct risk assessments in sourcing communities against social and environmental criteria using participatory approaches.
Conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with ethical standards and identify/monitor potential risks within supply chains.
Evaluate supplier practices related to workers, agriculture, environmental impact, and ethical sourcing; prepare concise assessment reports with scoring and evidence.
Collect evidence of progress on priority areas and follow up on suppliers’ improvement plans; provide advice and onsite/online training to support implementation.
Develop and implement remediation and risk mitigation strategies; support implementation and monitoring of development/remediation projects.
Identify training needs, support development of training materials, ToR and rollout of training programmes for sites/producers.
Assist global projects across supply chain topics (GBVH, health and wellbeing, living conditions, livelihoods, carbon footprint).
Build networks with key stakeholders, represent Twinings in industry bodies, and communicate responsible sourcing policies to suppliers.
Prepare and present reports on supply chain assessments, risks, improvements; update supply chain maps, SI&S database and tools; track SwC and ESG KPIs.
Contribute to content gathering and comms (case studies, pictures, videos); provide M&E and reporting support; liaise with regional Ethical Sourcing Executives and support administrative/team tasks.
Requirements
Bahasha Indonesia spoken candidates (Bahasha Indonesia spoken candidates, who have experience within agricultural supply chain).
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant fields with strong understanding of global agricultural supply chain dynamics (preferably tea & herbs).
Prior experience of working with international suppliers or within supply chain operations.
Strong understanding of ethical/responsible sourcing principles, sustainability and ESG practices.
Previous experience of conducting community-based participatory research or needs assessments.
Understanding of human rights, good agricultural practices, gender issues and ethical sourcing practices.
Strong interpersonal skills and strong communication skills – verbal and written (in English).
Ability to establish and manage effective relationships with internal and external industry stakeholders.
Ability to travel up to 60% of the time (domestic and international), sometimes with basic facilities.
Up to date knowledge and good command of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint are must) and other ESG reporting and supply chain software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in regional languages such as Tamil is an added advantage; knowledge of Assamese, Nepali, Sadri, Malayalam and Hindi preferred.
