About the role
- Engage with producers, farmers and factories as first point of contact in assigned region(s).
- Organise and conduct risk assessments in sourcing communities against social and environmental criteria using TCNA and participatory approaches.
- Conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with ethical standards and identify/monitor potential risks.
- Evaluate supplier practices related to workers, agriculture and environmental impact and ethical sourcing.
- Prepare concise assessment reports with scoring and evidence for Twinings and Producers.
- Collect evidence of progress on priority areas and follow up on suppliers’ improvement action plans.
- Provide advice and onsite or online training to support producers and farmer groups in implementing action plans.
- Develop and implement remediation and risk mitigation strategies; support implementation and monitoring of remediation projects/investments.
- Identify training needs and support development and rollout of training programmes and ToRs.
- Assist global projects across supply chain topics (GBVH, health and wellbeing, living conditions, livelihoods, carbon footprint).
- Develop networks with key stakeholders and represent Twinings in industry bodies as required.
- Prepare and present reports on supply chain assessments, risks, and improvement initiatives; update SI&S database and maps.
- Track SwC and ESG KPIs, contribute to content gathering and comms, and use Twinings ESG database/tools for analysis.
- Liaise with Ethical Sourcing Executives in other regions and support general administrative tasks and employee engagement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bahasha Indonesia spoken candidates with experience within agricultural supply chain.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant fields with strong understanding of global agricultural supply chain dynamics (preferably tea & herbs).
- Prior experience of working with international suppliers or within supply chain operations is essential.
- Strong understanding of ethical/responsible sourcing principles, sustainability and ESG practices.
- Previous experience of conducting community-based participatory research or needs assessments is essential.
- Understanding of human rights, good agricultural practices, gender issues and ethical sourcing practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and strong communication skills – verbal and written (in English).
- Ability to establish and manage effective relationships with internal and external industry stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time (domestic and international), sometimes with basic facilities.
- Up to date knowledge and good command of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and other ESG reporting and supply chain software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in regional languages such as Tamil is an added advantage; knowledge of Assamese, Nepali, Sadri, Malayalam and Hindi preferred.
- Monthly phone bill maximum reimbursement limit is Rs.3000.
