About the role

  • turbopuffer needs someone who can close deals with engineers and help customers win
  • Live in customer slack channels, helping to solve problems and drive deals forward
  • Close inbound deals
  • Manage POCs and work closely with solutions engineers
  • Answer questions honestly, say no when it’s not a fit
  • Navigate and improve internal systems

  • You track your pipeline and follow through
  • You don’t lie to customers
  • You move fast because our customers do
  • You get things done without being explicitly told
  • You can write well and can explain complex ideas simply
  • Be open to experimentation and learn from your failures
  • Ability to close deals with engineers
  • AE who actually understands what they’re selling OR technical person ready to carry a quota
  • Experience selling to developers (nice to have)
  • Experience with databases, search, or infra software (nice to have)
  • Experience with GTM automation tools like Clay, n8n (nice to have)
  • Comfort with python/javascript, linux, or cloud platforms (nice to have)
