About the role
- turbopuffer needs someone who can close deals with engineers and help customers win
- Live in customer slack channels, helping to solve problems and drive deals forward
- Close inbound deals
- Manage POCs and work closely with solutions engineers
- Answer questions honestly, say no when it’s not a fit
- Navigate and improve internal systems
Requirements
- You can read API docs without crying
- You track your pipeline and follow through
- You don’t lie to customers
- You move fast because our customers do
- You get things done without being explicitly told
- You can write well and can explain complex ideas simply
- Be open to experimentation and learn from your failures
- Ability to close deals with engineers
- AE who actually understands what they’re selling OR technical person ready to carry a quota
- Experience selling to developers (nice to have)
- Experience with databases, search, or infra software (nice to have)
- Experience with GTM automation tools like Clay, n8n (nice to have)
- Comfort with python/javascript, linux, or cloud platforms (nice to have)
