Take ownership of Benchmark tools for General Liability, Umbrella, and Professional lines across Business Insurance including leading development, implementation, and maintenance.
Manage two direct reports and provide direction, performance management, onboarding, mentoring, and talent development.
Drive Benchmark initiatives forward as part of modernized Umbrella and GL rating and data; leverage advanced analytics tools to monitor portfolio mix and Benchmark effectiveness.
Effectively communicate with business partners; convey technical details concisely and translate business requests into analyses with actionable insights.
Partner with Cross Lines Initiatives and other Benchmark leads to drive methodology, consistency, and efficiency.
Support other Liability analyses and initiatives such as Rate Adequacy, Casualty Reinsurance, Line Management, or other pricing studies.
Assess, prioritize, influence and communicate strategic initiative options to senior leaders; execute assigned strategic initiatives and projects.
Independently perform actuarial and analytic analyses to solve business problems; review others' analytical work and promote efficiency.
Lead group discussions, create formal written communication such as memos or presentations, and influence partners to enhance business outcomes.
Participate in acquisition, retention, succession planning, and other talent processes; support recruiting and enterprise training initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required.
College degree in STEM related field.
Associate Actuarial Credential preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience performing quantitative analysis required.
7+ years of quantitative analysis experience (listed under Ideal Candidate).
Strong understanding of insurance products and industry.
Demonstrated ability in actuarial and quantitative analysis and statistical concepts.
Management experience and experience supervising a small team of individual contributors.
Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Ability to present and translate complex information in relevant business terms.
Strong PC skills (MS Office) and programming skills (eg. SQL, SAS).
Ability to translate business requests into analyses and provide actionable insights.
Familiarity with underwriting, products, reinsurance, distribution, sales, operations, risk control, claims, and financials.
