  • About the Role: As a Data Governance Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring your organization adheres to data governance policies and standards.
  • Key Responsibilities: Monitor and ensure compliance with data governance policies, standards, and procedures when adding new data elements, columns, tables, reports, and master data.
  • Perform data stewardship tasks, including documenting and maintaining the business glossary.
  • Maintain documentation for data governance activities, such as the glossary of business terms, data dictionary, process documentation, and data lineage.
  • Review and validate reports for accuracy, completeness, and reliability, ensuring proper documentation, lineage tracking, and owner involvement.
  • Use workflows to manage the certification process of reports, working closely with report owners to ensure compliance.
  • Track and analyze data quality incidents, coordinating with data stewards and data owners to resolve issues effectively.
  • Monitor and present data quality metrics and KPIs to senior leadership.
  • Oversee the creation, updating, and ongoing management of master data sets, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to business users and data stewards on the appropriate use and selection of master data sets.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and validations of master data to maintain accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.

Requirements

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
  • You bring at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • You’re proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SQL queries and data management tools is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
