About the role
- Produce road designs and provide expertise within the Road Design South hub of Infrastructure Project & Engineering
- Resolve difficult design problems related to road infrastructure
- Collaborate with Transport Planners, Traffic Modellers and Project Management teams to plan and manage road design options
- Lead tasks and support regional NSW infrastructure projects to improve safety and ease congestion
- Support creation of new spaces to connect communities
- Work as part of a dedicated team based in the TfNSW Wollongong Office (hybrid-friendly)
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in the design of roads and related structures within infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Transport for NSW (formally RMS) standards
- Proficiency in OpenRoads / 12D / Civil 3D
- Willingness to undertake and complete Road Safety Auditor training
- Current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver licence
- Willingness to work outside normal working hours and travel on occasion
- Passion for Road Design
