About the role
- Support development and execution of integrated communication campaigns for hospitality & lifestyle clients, implementing traditional and new media and brand partnerships.
- Manage ongoing communications for high-profile lifestyle clients, engaging with media and clients.
- Facilitate day-to-day account team functions and provide support as required.
- Participate in brainstorms for creative ideas and publicity strategies.
- Maintain regular contact and close relationships with key press.
- Generate media placements in appropriate titles.
- Assist with event preparation and on-site support.
- Act as a brand champion and build strong client relationships.
- Analyse coverage across online, offline and blogs and leverage added value from PR activity.
- Conduct research on brands, products and industry to support client plans and new business proposals.
- Track and clip all media coverage and send to clients.
- Provide essential administrative support including call agendas and recaps, monthly reports, and media database updates.
Requirements
- 2 years proven experience, full time, or internship at a mid-sized PR agency within a hospitality or lifestyle environment.
- Familiarity with the organization of press reports and press clips.
- Solid understanding of and ongoing interest in media relations and strategy.
- Effective communicator with an eagerness to grow and learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines. Excellent prioritizing and time management.
- Extremely well-organized, methodical, and efficient, with strong initiative.
- Strong writing skills.
- Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Doc, Cision
