About the role
- Lead growth and integration of telehealth services including video visits, telephone visits, remote patient monitoring, and emerging AI tools.
- Expand current telehealth services and explore new opportunities to improve access and quality of care.
- Identify eligible patient populations, design and implement workflows, and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Work closely with teams across the organization to connect clinical care, operations, and technology.
- Provide onboarding and ongoing training for clinicians and staff on telehealth platforms and workflows.
- Pilot and evaluate new tools and approaches that address health disparities, including digital access and language needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and technology vendors; represent TVHC in external collaborations.
- Lead change initiatives, build staff buy-in, and support adoption of new technologies.
- Define program success metrics and develop dashboards to track performance at patient and population levels.
- Monitor access, provider productivity, no-show rates, and patient satisfaction; collaborate with population health and quality improvement staff.
- Ensure all telehealth services meet Medi-Cal and federal billing and documentation standards; stay informed of state and federal telehealth regulations and update workflows as needed.
- Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, workload distribution, scheduling, performance expectations, and professional development support to telehealth staff.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in healthcare or a related field (e.g., public health, nursing) required; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare program management, operations, or clinical care required.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience implementing or scaling telehealth services required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and achieve measurable results required.
- Ability to travel to designated locations as required.
- Prior experience in an FQHC, hospital, or health system serving high-volume Medicaid populations preferred.
- Knowledge of Medi-Cal telehealth regulations and billing practices preferred.
- Familiarity with Epic (preferably Epic OCHIN) and digital health platforms preferred.
- Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
