About the role
- Lead Full Stack / Lead Software Engineer for CoCounsel AI Assistant — build user-facing features and platform capabilities for legal professionals.
- Develop application code, framework and component libraries; improve team efficiency in a fast-moving AI field.
- Provide frontend expertise while considering backend/platform implications for evolving LLM capabilities (e.g., real-time streaming).
- IC leadership role requiring technical expertise and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
- Collaborate across stack and with stakeholders and leaders across the company.
Requirements
- At least five years professional software development experience.
- Experience in technical leadership (mentoring, breaking features into stories, discussing implementations).
- Deep expertise in front-end technologies and architectures (React, micro-frontends/module federation, event-driven systems, TypeScript, API design, realtime communication such as websockets/RPC/SSEs).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Self-starter mentality with quick learning and adaptability.
- Proven ability to execute both tactical and strategic solutions.
- Preferred: Experience with Python, large language models, machine learning applications, metrics, and agentic systems.
- Preferred: Track record using cutting edge AI tooling and techniques; strong opinions about LLM-driven application UX.
