This role will be focused on Government accounts but could also have some account possibilities into other Strategic Segments as needed
Prospect and identify opportunities for Thomson Reuters' online products and services
Create and implement plans for the effective coverage of assigned territory
Prepare and track the effectiveness of account plans; Forecast sales
Generate sales growth by pursuing new prospects, following up on leads from a variety of sources
Build relationships with existing customers in support of customer retention strategies
Provide client/prospect data for the CRM system
Report weekly/monthly on all sales activity, market trends, competitor information, etc.
Requirements
A university degree (business or professional) or equivalent business experience
Experience selling to the Federal/Provincial Government
Ability to develop new customer accounts requiring heavy prospecting, cold calling, closing ability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analytical and problem solving abilities
Strong organization and time management skills
Highly proficient in MS Office suite, utilizing a CRM (such as Salesforce preferred) and overall technical aptitude
Knowledge of the legal framework within Canada will be considered an asset
