Conduct a comprehensive review of the material that supports our completed curriculum to make implementation visible and ensure intended rigor
Verify the accuracy, clarity, and consistency of supporting content for adoption and implementation
Ensure materials supporting print and digital instructional design are easy to use and reflect best practices in pedagogy, differentiation, and scaffolding for all learners
Support development of materials to communicate effective implementations in low-tech, blended, and digital-only environments
Confirm materials are representative of all Florida students and developmentally appropriate
Provide detailed, constructive feedback to curriculum developers, including suggestions for refinements
Review and confirm teacher resources provide sufficient guidance, pacing, and support for effective classroom implementation
Review recommended implementation guidance for a variety of implementation models and contexts (low-tech/high-tech, block/traditional schedules, novice/experienced teachers)
Requirements
Very recent teachers to support development of final review materials
Experienced educators and curriculum specialists to serve as Curriculum Reviewers
Familiarity with Florida B.E.S.T. (Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking) Standards
Recent participation in state reviews of assessment items and curriculum review preferred
Not currently employed in Florida districts conducting ELA adoptions (ineligible if currently employed at districts undergoing an adoption)
Ability to conduct detailed evaluation of lessons, assessments, and teacher/student resources
Ability to provide detailed, constructive feedback to curriculum developers
Experience ensuring materials reflect best practices in pedagogy, differentiation, and scaffolding
