Provide complete services on laboratory equipment, including repairs, preventative maintenance, installation, and instrument qualifications
Repair, install, and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment products including incubators, centrifuges, cold storage (refrigerators and freezers), and other equipment as needed
Schedules and completes detailed preventative maintenance and corrective service to ensure peak uptime of customer equipment
Provide onsite service training to Biomedical Engineering Technicians (BMET) or advanced operators
Submit expenses and manage trunk stock inventory in a timely and accurate manner
Document daily service actions through the company work order database
Maintains courteous and knowledgeable communication with customers to ensure alignment of all aspects of the service events (status, cost, scheduling, etc.)
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electronics or Engineering field preferred
EPA Certification preferred
A minimum of 1 year of experience in field service, Depot repair, manufacturing facilities or equivalent, servicing medical devices or laboratory equipment, etc is highly preferred
Strong electronic/electrical and mechanical background preferred
refrigeration experience a plus
Experience working with basic test equipment such as DMM, tachometer, temperature devices, etc, and hands-on refrigeration experience preferred
Ability to operate computers, smartphones, and related software efficiently.
Effective interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks with minimal direction
Ability to work independently diagnosing and solving using schematics, diagrams, service manuals, and other technical resources
Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving
