On-site installation of electron microscopes within the assigned technology platform.\n
Champion and develop positive working relationships with customers, system users and company personnel.\n
Complete and submit field service reports.\n
Be able to perform Preventative Maintenance on assigned tools, e.g. Helios Hydra , Heilos 5.\n
Partner with colleagues to provide and sometimes receive technical mentorship needed to problem-solve systems solutions.\n
Provide appropriate input in writing updating and correcting various Thermo Fisher system documentation.\n
Provide recommendations for various reports including identifying and isolating outstanding problems with system.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electronics, physics, engineering, computer science or similar field with 5+ years of related experience or 3 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience\n
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities\n
Experienced in leading complex technical issues.\n
Ability to partner successfully with customers and colleagues.\n
Ability to fix sophisticated systems and subsystems down to component level.\n
Ability to read, and interpret schematics.\n
Required to read, write, and speak English fluently.\n
Ability to work independently, under high demand conditions, with a proven record to make decisions with minimal direct supervision.\n
Able to display a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
