About the role
- Contribute throughout the end-to-end process of planning and executing qualitative and quantitative research studies (questionnaire development, programming, testing surveys, analyzing results, and producing final reports), both in-house and with external research partners.
- Own and manage the process of accessing and understanding our subscriber data to tap into it for research purposes, including engaging with CRM and Data Analytics.
- Assist with mining and compiling data from proprietary, syndicated, and custom research toolsets, identifying patterns, surfacing opportunities, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Support the research team through testing surveys, gathering results, providing analysis, and creating reports that translate insights into action.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, research team partners and external vendors to translate key business questions into project requirements.
- Provide insight on best practices in project and research management and methodologies, including introducing the team to new vendors and capabilities.
- Manage engagement with the team’s research community, facilitating ongoing research execution, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring member engagement and community health.
Requirements
- Passion for understanding consumer needs and attitudes and translating them into business strategies, particularly in the technology, media and/or entertainment sectors.
- 2+ years of custom research project experience or analytics experience
- Experience with executing in all phases of research projects, including managing timelines, questionnaire design, data collection and analysis, reporting and presentations.
- Familiarity with a variety of market research methodologies and their applications
- Strong detail-orientation, particularly when working with large datasets and research reports; brings a keen focus on quality
- Highly organized in project management, with proven ability to handle multiple projects at a given time
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel and experience with survey programming tools like Qualtrics or SurveyGizmo/Alchemer
- Familiarity with mining, cleaning, and manipulating large datasets leveraging R, SQL, Python or other programming languages
- Collaborative partner and teammate who can build good rapport, communicate effectively, and influence others when needed
- Ability to synthesize data into a cohesive, persuasive story that resonates with stakeholders and drives strategic action
