Technical Recruiter

• Directly source a rich pipeline of rarified research, data science, and other talent (typically PhD-level candidates) for the firm's investment research department
• Partner closely with hiring managers and Recruiters to develop effective sourcing and outreach strategies
• Institutionalize and compound our talent strategies, competitive intelligence, and outreach content to make the whole team more effective at sourcing
• Take ownership for firm-wide sourcing and talent strategy-related processes and initiatives, such as new search launches and talent market evaluations, search recalibrations, referrals pushes, large systematic sourcing drives, leading Department-wide sourcing sessions, conference and event-driven canvassing initiatives, and piloting new approaches and technologies to identify and attract key talent
• Mentor and help direct ("quarterback") the efforts of team members to ensure we’re sourcing effectively to meet our hiring goals while maintaining exceptionally high quality standards
• Represent Voleon well in the market to ensure an excellent candidate experience, even for candidates who do not join us
• Maintain and improve a high-performance recruiting process tuned to delivering outstanding quality of hire in an efficient, diligent manner

Senior Technical Sourcer

• Manage the CEO’s calendar and resolve conflicts when priorities compete
• Coordinate domestic and international travel and logistics
• Prepare meeting materials and ensure follow-ups
• Act as first point of contact for people reaching out to the CEO
• Handle sensitive information with care and discretion
• Work with the Office of the CEO team to keep operations running smoothly
• Be available outside standard business hours for urgent matters
• Travel a few times a year to Puerto Rico, NYC, and Berkeley

• Perform manual steps and develop automated processes to ensure the completeness and integrity of massive amounts of mission critical financial data pertaining to stocks, bonds, futures, commodities, and more
• Partner with Members of Research Staff to curate new and existing datasets
• Help drive continuous improvements to data quality procedures and a consistent approach to how data quality is measured, monitored, and reported
• Design systematic and automated processes and tools that allow the team to scale and rapidly onboard new datasets
• Share an on-call rotation and be the first responder ensuring the continuous operation of production-critical systems
