About the role
- Provide short-term, project-based assistance to the Comptroller in managing day-to-day accounting functions.
- Ensure timely, accurate financial processes while supporting The Source’s mission.
- Assist the Comptroller with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for internal leadership and the Board.
- Help manage grant reporting requirements (HHSC Thriving Texas Families, SRAE, and other funding sources).
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial records.
- Maintain organized, compliant financial files in accordance with GAAP and The Source’s policies.
- Provide analysis and support for forecasting as needed.
- Collaborate with marketing, outreach, development, and operations teams to align expenditures.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and protect organizational assets.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
- Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to honoring the sanctity of human life and sexual purity.
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, and policies of the organization.
- Bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit financial practices preferred.
- Experience with accounting software QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with grant compliance reporting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold The Source’s values.
