Financial Planning and Analysis

• Provide specialized finance and grants management support to the California business unit
• Contribute across core areas including financial analysis and reporting, financial management, accounting, auditing, and public grants administration

Senior Finance Director, North America

Communications

• Write and edit proposals, reports and other materials to assist with private fundraising
• Manage and implement multiple projects, including setting deadlines and ensuring accountability
• Coordinate with donor comms colleagues to implement the Africa Region’s strategic fundraising goals
• Exercise independent judgment to identify and solve problems as needed in supervisor’s stead
• Make decisions that may have program-wide impact and affect staff in non-program areas

Donor Communications Officer

Technician

• Assists with the implementation of prescribed burns by maintaining firebreaks, leading squads of 3 – 7 firefighters, maintaining fire equipment, and planning logistics.
• Assists with the development of prescribed burn plans, fire management plans, and land management plans.
• Maintains fire and stewardship supplies and equipment and maintains maintenance records.
• Maintains physical fitness necessary for maintaining wildland fire qualifications (arduous level).
• Works in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain and under physically demanding circumstances.
• Leads vegetation and fire effects monitoring programs, collects maintains, and reports data.
• Leads and monitors work groups consisting of staff, interns, and volunteers covering a wide geographic area.

Prescribed Fire and Stewardship Technician

Community Manager

• Drive a global strategy that advances Indigenous and community leadership across TNC’s conservation work
• Shape how TNC delivers on its 2030 goals and beyond through equitable, durable, and community-led outcomes
• Influence systems, financing, partnerships, and governance to align with self-determined stewardship and rights-based approaches

Executive Director, Midwest Partner

• Provide specialized finance/accounting-related services to the Real Estate Gifts team.
• Complete tasks accurately and efficiently to support fast-paced real estate transactions.
• Maintain a high level of expertise with the constituent relationship management system (CRMS).
• Update donor information, produce reports, perform analysis, and track and cultivate donors.
• Manage deal tracking processes for real property gifts from acquisition through disposition and afterwards.

Associate Director, Development, Impact Finance & Markets

Analyst

• Develop and implement advanced reporting, analytics, and AI‑enhanced solutions to guide fundraising strategies.
• Collaborate closely with Membership Acquisition and Strategy teams to deliver data‑driven and machine‑assisted insights.
• Assess complex situations, evaluate alternatives, and design and implement processes that improve program effectiveness.
• Implement analytical solutions including file health analysis, predictive models, donor profiling, and segmentation analysis.
• Analyze and report on key data to leadership, utilizing appropriate tools for projects.

Senior Analyst

Associate

• Conducts federal policy analysis and monitors congressional, regulatory, and administrative matters related to relevant federal policy issues.
• Actively participates in state legislative and administrative processes; attends committee hearings, lobby visits, budget hearings, floor sessions, commission meetings, and other meetings relevant to TNC conservation priorities and in support of advocacy goals and objectives.
• Monitors legislative, regulatory, and administrative matters related to relevant state and federal policy issues; provides research, policy analysis and recommendations on state public policy issues, policy options, agency budgets, and the potential impacts of proposed legislation, rulemaking efforts, and changes in agency policies.
• Develops policy communications assets to support the Oregon Business Unit’s and Western Division’s policy advocacy and strategic communications needs, including talking points, testimony, one-pagers, letters to the editor and social media posts.
• Attends and takes notes at committee hearings, lobbying visits, floor sessions, agency commission meetings, and other relevant venues in support of TNC conservation priorities.
• Works with Marketing and Communications and Government Relations teams to produce state and federal policy briefs to help educate elected officials, partner organizations, board of trustees members, and the general public.
• Assures compliance with all state and federal lobbying laws and regulations, including reporting and tracking state lobbying activities.
• Some overnight out of state travel for trainings and Washington, D.C. fly-ins, frequent travel to Salem, OR during state legislative session, and occasional travel for organizational retreats.
• Overnight/out of state travel up to 10% of time.
• Hybrid work arrangement with an expectation to work onsite at the Portland office at least once every two weeks.

Policy Associate

• Develop community engagement, outreach, and educational materials on renewable energy siting.
