About the role

  • Conduct cross program reviews of documentation from students seeking accommodations on College Board tests
  • Produce accurate and well-reasoned eligibility determinations that ensure access to College Board tests for test-takers with disabilities
  • Handle direct verbal and written communications with secondary schools, education professionals, parents/guardians, and test-takers relevant to decisions, documentation, and accommodations
  • Listen carefully and with empathy to parent and test-taker concerns
  • Educate the caller about the review and appeal processes
  • Provide guidance on how accommodations are provided on College Board tests
  • Maintain communication with relevant professional organizations to highlight College Board's mission to serve test-takers with disabilities
  • Use various databases to gather relevant student data
  • Consult and collaborate with colleagues from both intra and interdisciplinary professions

Requirements

  • Psy.D./Ph.D. degree in relevant psychological and education area
  • 4 to 6 years of direct work experience as a professional in the practice of psychological/ educational assessment in secondary school or postsecondary level
  • Knowledge of secondary school issues/trends related to test-takers with disabilities
  • Extensive knowledge of assessments and procedures as they relate to the determination of various disabilities and appropriate accommodations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to team members, other professionals, educators, test-takers, and parents/guardians
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, instructional/training skills, and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously and prioritize judiciously
  • Strong orientation toward growth, with an ability to give and receive feedback
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the USA
