About the role
- Lead and mentor teams of Pharmacy Informatics Consultants and Pharmacy Analysts to support enterprise growth strategies using client-level analytics
- Manage a defined book of complex national clients; evaluate client utilization and offer solutions to improve health outcomes
- Demonstrate the value of Cigna’s products and services through consultative analytics to protect and grow earnings
- Oversee analytical support for Pharmacy Sales & Account Management including ad hoc reporting, metric research, and methodology consultation
- Ensure premium service model, consistency of approach, and quality work products across external analytics
- Responsible for hiring, training, and development of team members
- Consult on new analytical content development, content migration, enterprise methodology, and analytics
- Inform, educate, and train CP-SAM and Client Informatics partners across the Integrated Pharmacy Organization on key initiatives
- Partner with Pharmacy Leadership to determine appropriate support model for Sales and Account Management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with key matrix partners within the Pharmacy Organization
- Create more efficient processes and improve technical skills within the Informatics Team
- Provide support for producer-driven insights, business critical workarounds, and leverage cross-enterprise capabilities
- Consult on the build of future integrated pharmacy capabilities and transition from legacy reporting solutions
Requirements
- 8+ years Pharmacy Benefit Manager/Healthcare experience with demonstrated business results in an analytics or consulting capacity
- Experience managing direct reports and building high performing teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Experience building and maintaining leadership relationships within a highly matrixed organization
- Experience working with health care data (claims, provider, eligibility, etc.) is required
- Strong experience in producing healthcare analytics or reporting is preferred
- Working knowledge of analytics and business intelligence tools (SQL, Tableau, Toad, or equivalent) is preferred
- Working knowledge of enterprise data warehouses (CCW, GHTR or equivalent) is preferred
- Strong problem solving and ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate across cross-functional teams
- If working at home, internet connection must be cable broadband or fiber with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
