About the role
- Accountable for delivering HR solutions and expertise to complex client groups to implement human resource strategies
- Provide strategic and day-to-day HR support to Legal & Corporate Affairs and the HR Business Partner team
- Partner with HR Business Partners and L&CA leaders to identify key retention and engagement drivers and build proactive solutions
- Partner in development, management and delivery of functional strategic workforce plans and determining optimal organizational design
- Support development of effective leaders, focusing on leadership needs and themes identified in business strategy and talent review processes
- Guide leaders through talent review and succession planning activities
- Help leaders build strategies to close talent gaps and develop leadership bench strength for succession
- Encourage building strength through diversity
- Proactively utilize data to identify issues, predict outcomes and recognize trends
- Act as a change agent supporting organizational change through a common framework, process and best practice tools
- Represent the voice of the business within HR and the voice of HR for the business
Requirements
- 5+ years relevant experience in a HRBP or COE function preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
- A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly complex/matrixed business and HR model
- Strong focus on driving results and sense of urgency in supporting business leaders
- Credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to leadership
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand, discuss and work with leaders on Cigna's business strategy and human capital implications
- Experience supporting change management
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and colleagues
- Knowledge of, and proven capability in, organizational development techniques and performance management
- Experience in Workday preferred
