About the role
- Manage targeted customer accounts across institutional, clinic, specialty wholesale distribution, specialty pharmacy, and market access classes of trade with emphasis on biosimilars
- Hold product responsibilities within the generic and innovative medicine portfolios and execute individual product strategies
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with customer targets at all levels to support strategic objectives
- Implement product access strategies and tactics in collaboration with Marketing and internal stakeholders
- Identify and pursue opportunities through data analysis and contract negotiations aligned with product strategies
- Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and ensure contract compliance to drive pull-through sales
- Report market intelligence and record account information and competitive intelligence
- Collaborate closely with Market Access, Trade, Marketing, Medical, Brand Team, Finance, National Accounts, and Pricing/Contract teams
- Analyze the region as a business unit and prepare/present quarterly business reviews
- Represent and promote Teva’s products and image while adhering to compliance, aggregate spend, and travel policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Account Management, Sales, or Marketing OR at least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in the buy & bill market, preferably in the biosimilar space (preferred)
- Experience working in hospital or IDN markets (preferred)
- Proven track record of superior sales results and strong business acumen
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical reimbursement and the 340B program
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking and ability to understand and execute strategy
- Experience in delivering and executing contracts
- Ability to maintain working knowledge of biosimilar, specialty, and generic pharmaceutical industries, including contracting, distribution/wholesaler channels, pricing structures, chargeback programs, institutional sales, GPOs, IDNs, clinics, buy & bill models, reimbursement, and market access
- Daily use of CRM system (Veeva) to enter account and customer activity
- Travel up to 50% required
- Must live within 60 miles of the workload center within assigned territory
- Must complete Teva customer credentialing requirements within 60 days, including uploading proof of immunization and possibly additional vaccinations, medical testing and customer facility safety training
- Ability to sit for extended periods and may be required to wear PPE during site visits
