About the role
- Serve as the primary financial contact and trusted advisor for a portfolio of clients
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Oversee client accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, budgeting, and forecasting
- Implement and improve internal controls, processes, and reporting systems tailored to each client’s needs
- Partner with client leadership to support strategic decisions with financial data and insight
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded
- Stay up to date on GAAP, regulatory changes, and accounting technology tools (especially QuickBooks)
- Work directly with clients across industries to ensure financial accuracy, process efficiency, and scalable accounting practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA Required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time in a Controller or client-facing advisory role
- Strong QuickBooks knowledge (QBO and Desktop); QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a plus
- Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while being a proactive team player
- Must reside in or around Dallas, TX for occasional local client meetings or team events
