About the role

  • Outside Account Manager responsible for revenue growth in a defined territory and industry/technology
  • Partner with the Energy Crompton business to sell digital metering systems and related instrumentation
  • Manage all aspects of demand creation with an entrepreneur mindset and build strong customer relationships
  • Develop and support sales pipeline through customer and distributor visits
  • Promote products through training and act as project manager on engagements
  • Provide forecast accuracy through the S&OP process and participate in contract negotiations
  • Prepare and deliver product/systems training and regular business review briefs
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders and resolve road blocks via cross-functional coordination
  • Maintain customer and sales data in TE Avante/CDA and Salesforce.com
  • Travel frequently across assigned territory and support distributors and customers

Requirements

  • Demonstrated performance in developing and executing strategic objectives
  • Support and manage key customers on a day to day basis
  • Maintain existing instrumentation business and secure further profitable growth for the Americas Region
  • Develop a strategy for the growth of New Products with the Global Product Management team
  • Prepare and deliver product / systems training and information to customers
  • Penetrate the Energy Management and System Integrator markets to expand the CI systems portfolio
  • Develop the distribution channel and new specialist instrumentation stockists where necessary
  • Maintain Customer Database and participate in Marcom activities and New Product Information
  • Prepare and deliver regular business review briefs for allocated geographical sales area
  • Schedule meetings with internal departments to resolve road block issues
  • Maintain and update data within TE Avante/CDA database and Salesforce.com systems
  • Regularly review business practices and implement best practices
  • Assist in collating information for National Sales Manager to present to Senior Management
  • Achieve agreed individual goals and objectives within agreed time-scales
  • Be aware of legal responsibilities/compliance and associated risk control
  • Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales related experience
  • Technical qualification in electrical discipline or electrical knowledge
  • Knowledge of energy metering and/or communications protocols is an advantage
  • Must be able to travel 50%-75%
  • Bilingual is a plus
