About the role
- Perform and document audit test steps for assigned audits and focus on more critical areas of audit
- Participate in planning of audits and may lead less complex audits/projects
- Independently assess control design and operating effectiveness during audits
- Provide on-the-job training for staff auditors and team members
- Communicate and discuss audit report with business line
- Participate in findings follow-up, special projects, and post-audit critique meetings
- Provide recommendations to management regarding the control environment
- Participate in and support department improvement initiatives
- Complete required compliance-related tasks and maintain records of action plans
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required
- 3+ years of related experience
- Makes discretionary decisions and applies professional judgment when assessing control
- Provides on-the-job training for team members
- Ability to participate in audit planning and lead less complex audits/projects
- Ability to perform and document audit test steps and form conclusions
- Complete all required job specific, compliance-related training
- Understand, utilize and follow Compliance/Risk and control programs
