About the role
- Oversee review, drafting, and editing of commercial aviation contracts, agreements, amendments, and legal documents
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks while protecting the organization’s interests
- Assess RFPs/RFIs/RFQs and draft/enhance proposal response components
- Conduct milestone proposal reviews and adjust proposal schedules as needed
- Collaborate with finance, sales, operations, and legal to align contract terms with organizational policies
- Serve as the key liaison to TAT’s external legal teams and negotiate contract language with external parties
- Maintain and update contract templates, clause libraries, and standard terms
- Track and monitor contract performance, obligations, and key deadlines to ensure compliance
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters
- Support continuous improvement in contract management processes and systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD (law degree) or prior experience as a paralegal strongly preferred
- 2+ years of experience in contract management, contract administration, or a related legal/commercial role
- 2+ years of experience with Bids and Proposals
- Strong knowledge of contract law, legal terminology, and commercial risk management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to analyze complex agreements and provide practical, business-oriented solutions
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Aviation and Aerospace contract experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners
