About the role

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Workday configuration and integration engineers, providing career guidance and performance management
  • Drive the technical strategy and roadmap for Workday implementations, upgrades, and ongoing platform optimization
  • Oversee complex Workday integrations with internal and third-party systems using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and APIs
  • Manage Workday configuration across HCM, Payroll, Talent, Compensation, Security, Recruiting, Benefits, and Time and Leave Tracking
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and business leaders to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes for Workday development
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues
  • Plan and execute Workday release management activities, including testing strategies and deployment coordination
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, user experience, and operational efficiency
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with Workday support
  • Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for Workday-related projects
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and internal governance standards
  • Lead M&A Integration projects to onboard acquisitions into Workday
  • Lead platform modernization efforts including automation, orchestration, AI integration, and Workday Extend/Studio capabilities
  • Build and mentor global, remote teams with focus on coaching, succession planning, and people development
  • Foster strategic partnerships across COEs, Experience Owners, Product, and Technology teams
  • Establish governance frameworks, design standards, and KPIs to elevate platform maturity and delivery quality across the Workday ecosystem

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 8+ years of hands-on Workday configuration and integration experience across multiple functional areas
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Deep expertise in Workday Studio, Workday Extend, integration tools, and custom reporting capabilities
  • Workday certifications in relevant functional areas (HCM, Integration, Security, or Payroll preferred)
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Analytical problem-solving approach with attention to detail and quality and a commitment to continuous learning
  • Knowledge of HR and Finance business processes and industry best practices
  • Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle Workday implementations or major system upgrades
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
