About the role
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end process of pharmacy licensure, including initial applications, renewals, amendments, and closures.
- Monitor regulatory changes affecting pharmacy licensure and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all pharmacy licenses, permits, and registrations.
- Collaborate with Head of Compliance, operations, and pharmacy teams to ensure timely and compliant licensure across all jurisdictions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for state boards of pharmacy and other regulatory agencies regarding licensure matters.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to licensure compliance and other pharmacy compliance topics as needed.
- Conduct internal audits as part of the Compliance team, verifying licensure status and identifying potential risks or gaps.
- Support new pharmacy openings, relocations, and acquisitions by coordinating licensure activities.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on licensure requirements and processes.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership on licensure status and compliance metrics.
- Travel approximately 10% as required.
Requirements
- RPh or PharmD preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmacy operations across multiple states or jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of state and federal pharmacy licensure requirements.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies and managing licensure databases.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
