About the role
- Handle daily bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting and taxation requirements.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and cash flow analyses.
- Support month-end and year-end closing with timely reconciliations and reports.
- Serve as a client-facing liaison, communicating financial insights and addressing queries.
- Collaborate with property managers and leadership teams to align accounting with operational activities.
- Maintain and optimize workflows in Resly and PropertyMe for trust accounting and portfolio management.
- Manage ad hoc financial tasks, analysis, and reporting as needed.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience in the real estate or property management industry.
- Proven, hands-on experience with Resly and PropertyMe (required).
- Xero Certification or advanced Xero knowledge (preferred).
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation, compliance, and trust accounting.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets with strong analytical skills.
- Outstanding client-facing communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to ad hoc tasks.
