About the role

  • Sword Health mission: free two billion people from pain using AI Care and clinical partnerships
  • Market-building operations: establish foundational structures, processes, and playbooks for international markets
  • Operational efficiency: identify gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for simplification and automation with an AI-first mentality
  • Staffing model optimization: create and refine localized staffing models balancing member experience and utilization
  • Team development: build, lead, and motivate growing teams in less mature international markets; develop leaders early
  • Member experience: design and test scalable, research-backed strategies balancing global standards with local adaptation
  • Clinical partnership: inform clinical development roadmap with local operational insights
  • Data analysis and reporting: define tailored success metrics, set up reporting frameworks, and leverage data for resourcing and prioritization
  • Finance: own operational budgets for international markets and monitor P&L performance
  • Strategy: lead cross-functional initiatives to launch, stabilize, and scale Sword’s presence in new and growing international markets

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Operations, Strategy, or equivalent
  • Previous startup experience and/or ability to thrive in a fluid environment and willingness to get hands dirty
  • Experience scaling teams, with a focus on investing in coaching and development of your team
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset; ability to source actionable insights and explain data clearly
  • Proven record of structuring projects and programs and working with diverse stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset with scale-oriented decision making
  • Exceptional communicator and influencer able to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Talent magnet with ability to attract and build strong teams; manage and nurture team members
  • Strong grasp of consumer insights and customer-centric mindset
  • Experience using Looker (or equivalent) and extremely proficient with spreadsheets (advanced level)
  • Ability to handle chaos, ambiguity, and complexity in a detailed and organized way
  • Outstanding interpersonal, coaching and strategic thinking skills
  • Known for building culture with a mission-driven approach
  • Motivated by challenges, positive, solution-focused, and willing to roll up sleeves
