About the role
- Operate in lock-step with product managers to deliver AI solutions throughout their lifecycle.
- Communicate clear and descriptive requirements and partner with development teams to deliver products balancing new features with defects and technical debt.
- Ensure products meet stakeholder requirements, retain functional and technical integrity, and are appropriately scalable.
- Work with cross-functional (design, build, test, process) teams to deliver features and products.
- Provide input to the short-term product roadmap and product design.
- Participate in customer and stakeholder interviews to align product design with roles (personas).
- Assist product managers to groom the product backlog; ensure an agreed amount of scope is always ready and identify gaps.
- Engage frequently with or be an integral member of the product development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, drive feature refinement, conduct testing and validation.
- Understand and follow the proscribed governance process and development methodology for product development.
- Translate customer requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning.
- Develop increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Product Management.
- Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles.
- Familiarity with versatile implementation options.
- Knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning), and experimental design.
- Ability to tie use cases to model development, pre-training, and implementation of AI algorithms—including vision AI, predictive analytics, LLM-based applications, and anomaly detection.
- Business Acumen: ability to explore alternate technology and approaches, break down problems, document problem statements, and estimate efforts.
- Leadership: influence through others, strategic decision-making, and understanding downstream consequences.
- Personal attributes: proactive cross-functional engagement, critical thinking, pattern recognition, and innovation.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information; final offers contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
