About the role
- Serve as key partner to Legal, Sales Leadership, and Revenue Operations, reviewing revenue contracts and ensuring compliance with ASC 606
- Review, approve and sign revenue contracts with customers, focusing on non-standard terms and revenue impact
- Advise Sales & Legal on revenue implications to customer contracts and suggest alternatives
- Collaborate with auditors on AR and revenue-related matters
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Help oversee an offshore AR team (billing, collections, cash application, credit assessment)
- Enhance systems by partnering with business systems teams to improve AR/revenue function
- Monitor key metrics (DSO, bad debt, billing satisfaction)
- Drive efficiencies through process improvements
- Support ad hoc projects as needed
- Reports to the U.S.-based Director of Revenue Accounting
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and technology companies
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent)
- Experience working with Sales, Legal, Revops, and Accounting teams
- In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 / IFRS 15
- Experience with SaaS revenue and billing is preferred
- Experience working with offshore teams is a plus
- Experience in Salesforce, Zuora, Revpro, Netsuite is a plus
