About the role
- Own the transactional postings in Xero to ensure accurate and timely financial information
- Process supplier (AP) and customer (AR) invoices, employee expenses, and corporate credit card receipts in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconcile bank transactions within the accounting system (Xero)
- Respond to supplier queries from the accounts inbox
- Prepare the VAT returns
- Prepare multi-currency payment runs
- Assist the Finance Manager with month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations
- Liaise with the wider team to ensure invoice approvals and to answer any of their queries
- Support with other ad hoc analysis
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience working within a finance team
- AAT qualifications (or equivalent) is desirable
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience with Xero and supporting apps (preferred but not required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and to work to deadlines
- Self-motivated, willing to take the initiative
- Strong numeracy skills
- A strong team player
