About the role
- Generate, issue, and distribute client invoices accurately and on schedule for assigned client accounts
- Collaborate with operational teams on billing deadlines
- Reconcile customer accounts and individual client jobs, identify and resolve discrepancies, and investigate unapplied payments
- Open and close client accounts/jobs and prepare estimates of time and cost
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures for accounts receivable
- Assist with internal and external inquiries
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested
- Manage internal client relationships and maintain ongoing communication with account team members and meetings team
- Troubleshoot billing problems/issues as necessary
Requirements
- CIMA/ACCA/AAT qualified
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive, results-oriented approach
- Ability to perform effectively autonomously and in a team
- Strong integrity and discretion handling confidential financial information
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles (double-entry bookkeeping, accrual basis, cash bases)
- Proficiency in MS Excel including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables and advanced formulas
- Prior exposure to accounting software platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Sage, Advantage) is advantageous
