About the role
- Support delivery of successful month end financial close
- Prepare and analyse reconciliations, consolidations and other key financial close activities
- Provide timely and insightful information to stakeholders including senior finance leadership team
- Collate and understand month end close requirements from stakeholders
- Partner with Group Finance teams and wider business to get line of sight on business performance
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for the Group
- Lead Finance Operations representation with internal and external audit teams, act as conduit for requests and resolve outstanding actions
- Support Financial Close Manager in supervising and developing the Group's Financial Close team
- Deliver high level of customer service through preparation and analysis of financial close activities
Requirements
- Qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant or actively finalising a qualification or commensurate experience
- Strong financial accounting experience including preparation of financial statements and month-end close processes
- Experience with internal and external audit support and Group consolidations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyse complex financial information and identify trends and issues
- Experience in supervising and developing finance team (supporting Financial Close Manager)
- Experience preparing ad-hoc financial reports for a Group
- Good stakeholder management and ability to build and maintain relationships
- Experience partnering with Group Finance teams and wider business
