About the role
- Act as digital architect turning concepts into detailed CAD blueprints
- Provide construction document production support
- Coordinate with civil engineers, structural engineers, and surveyors
- Use PVSyst and CAD to create construction documents and perform quantity takeoffs
- Produce site layouts, wire/cable routing plans, single line diagrams, construction details, equipment, and conduit details
- Create wiring/cable schedule-based takeoffs and sizing input from senior designers and engineers
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of EVS design/CAD standards and provide input for improvement
Requirements
- Associates Degree or Technical School Certificate in Electrical Design, Solar Design, Architectural/Engineering Drafting, or related degree
- 2-5 years of experience in the drafting/design of electrical power/distribution systems
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in PVSyst/ CAD
- Experience and knowledge of basic electrical design concepts
- Working knowledge and ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Must be a supportive team member, able to work in a collaborative environment
- Self-motivated with an ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadline
