About the role

  • Senior Director, Quality responsible for defining and implementing strategic vision for Supplier QA, Manufacturing QA, Design QA, Customer QA, and QMS across S&C
  • Ensure products and services align with or exceed customer expectations and leverage cross-departmental collaboration and advanced quality methodologies
  • Develop and execute a global strategic roadmap for quality initiatives, aligning organizational goals with customer satisfaction metrics
  • Global alignment and improvement of inspection and quality management across all manufacturing locations and value streams
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate customer requirements into product and process design
  • Oversee resolution of critical customer quality issues and lead high-visibility projects addressing systemic quality challenges
  • Align Supplier Quality activities to industry best practices to reduce supplier PPM
  • Develop and oversee implementation of APQP and CTQ features in product designs
  • Implement mechanisms for capturing and analyzing customer quality data and product health metrics
  • Serve as subject matter expert in Quality Engineering and lead advanced root-cause analysis processes
  • Analyze quality feedback and metrics to identify trends, set team KPI targets, and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage documentation and QA system updates to maintain compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing quality team, including recruitment, performance reviews, succession planning, and conflict resolution
  • Provide global thought leadership and best-practice direction to the quality assurance team
  • Understand and comply with applicable content standards, brand guidelines, company policies, and rules

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in customer-facing quality leadership or related role in the manufacturing or electrical industry
  • In-depth understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) systems and their integration with quality frameworks
  • Expertise in project management methodologies tailored for focused initiatives
  • Advanced knowledge of customer satisfaction measurement tools and metrics, including hands-on experience in gathering and evaluating key data
  • Strong experience in managing complex customer escalations and negotiations
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards impacting quality
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the quality assurance function
  • Great project management skills, able to successfully lead project teams through ambiguity and constantly changing business needs
  • Sound organizational and multitasking skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced working environment
  • Great leadership skills with an ability to lead, guide, motivate, and delegate to deliver results
  • Excellent attention to detail with an analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Sound interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships and navigate conflict
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation)
  • Sound financial acumen and numerical ability to manage budgetary resources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including excellent Excel skills and experience using Power BI
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Preferred: Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt
  • Preferred: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) / Certified Manager of Quality (CMQ)
  • Preferred: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
  • Preferred: Experience in a large (2+ billion-dollar revenue) B2B manufacturing company
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP)
