About the role
- Responsible for leading, developing and training the practice of Maintenance including all maintenance activities for RWCS non-incineration facilities
- Manage all maintenance programs within less than five facilities and oversee maintenance personnel and outside contractors
- Work with operations management to provide cost reduction opportunities, equipment care, training, housekeeping, and maintenance record keeping
- Manage execution of equipment installation and maintenance functions including scheduled preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g. OSHA), including LOTO and electrical/mechanical safety
- Track equipment history and drive improvements using SAP PM; plan and schedule outages, identify root cause, and develop corrective action plans
- Project manage small-scale capital improvements ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery to specifications
- Conduct predictive analysis of process systems and equipment and generate work orders with documented results in SAP PM
- Oversee troubleshooting and replacement of electrical components, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, piping, and power-tool based repairs
- Purchase components and manage installations and manage outside machine shop work as needed
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Five or more years of relevant management and technical experience
- Leadership experience in a multi-site setting
- Ability to manage groups of remote team members
- Ability to complete hands on preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
- Ability to learn computerized maintenance management systems (SAP PM)
- Strong business vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills
- Ability to present ideas clearly, concisely, and diplomatically
- Self-starter with strong problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple activities and projects and work independently
- Experience reading electrical schematics and wire tracing
- Knowledge of 3-phase theory and wiring techniques
- Experience troubleshooting and wiring electric motors
- Experience with conduit runs, control boxes, and disconnects
- Experience with air pneumatics, air compressors, regulators, solenoid valves, pneumatic pumps
- Experience with hydraulic systems: cylinder seal repair, hose crimper operation, hydraulic pumps, valve stacks
- Experience with power tools and managing welding repairs (carbon steel, stainless, TIG)
- Experience installing PVC piping up to 6", threaded steel pipe to 2", and soldered copper
- Preferred Education: Associates or Equivalent
