Plan, lead, and complete projects to ensure achievement of scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives
Champion effective communication and collaboration across functional areas to ensure team alignment
Coordinate project advancement, reduce risks, and uphold adherence to processes and quality standards
Transparently update US and UK engineering site heads, product management, and leadership; initiate corrections
Handle scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring compliance with corporate engineering standards
Prepare presentations and projects for stage gate reviews
Assist with future planning efforts, product strategy, and ensure alignment with market and technical criteria
Foster ongoing progress, creativity, and reuse of current expertise and technologies
Ensure adherence to E&D work processes, QHSE procedures, and professional conduct
Assure internal and external requirements (including customer) are part of the project scope
Manage balance among product cost, performance, schedule and customer/standards requirements
Effectively manage changes in specifications from internal or external requests
Coordinate cross-site teams across the US, UK, and India to manage schedules, resources, and deliverables
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, project management, product development, petroleum, or a related technical field
7–10+ years of project management experience
3–5 years of leading global or multi-site engineering/E&D projects
Proven success in new product development (NPD) and sustaining projects
Proficiency in project management approaches (Stage-Gate, Agile, or hybrid)
Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Project for the Web, Planner)
Proven track record in project management; ability to work with different technical and functional subject areas
Ability to handle shifting and conflicting priorities
Experience with Stage gated development processes (preferred)
Experience with Agile Product Development (SCRUM, TDD, XP) (preferred)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification (preferred)
Experience working in a matrix organization with global cross-functional teams (preferred)
Knowledge of engineering change management processes and product lifecycle management systems (preferred)
