About the role
- Lead, mentor, and coach the local field sales team
- Build the team and processes that shape the field acquisition strategy within the local market
- Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and deployment teams to identify subscriber acquisition opportunities and schedule and execute field activity
- Drive compliance in Starry’s field sales programs and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve acquisition results
- Analyze and report on all field activity to assess effectiveness and implement best practices
- Travel daily throughout the market and be available some evenings and weekends as needed
- Communicate brand messaging and Starry value propositions to consumers, property managers, and stakeholders
- Perform door-to-door and event sales activity alongside field teams to deliver daily market subscriber targets
- Train and coach direct reports; analyze results and maximize subscriber sales potential
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in telecommunications
- 2+ years experience in Field Sales and/or Field Marketing with experience managing teams
- Proven track record of driving direct sales (e.g., door-to-door sales)
- Experience hiring, managing, and training a full-time field sales team
- Proven leadership and motivational skills
- Relevant Field Sales experience or a "hunter" mentality
- Expertise in a variety of sales concepts, practices, and procedures
- Excellent listening and writing skills
- Creative problem solving and willingness to pivot quickly
- Strong organizational and reporting skills
- Willingness to travel daily throughout the market and work some evenings and weekends (Saturdays)
