About the role

  • Lead new business development for Commercial Contract Sales, focusing on gaining new client business
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities with new pharmaceutical clients
  • Secure qualified client meetings via networks and consultative approach
  • Develop account plans and execute opportunity strategies
  • Lead selling strategy meetings and partner with internal subject matter experts
  • Tailor solutions, negotiate, and close long sales cycle deals
  • Track KPIs to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Travel up to 50% nationally
  • Maintain necessary pharmaceutical representative credentials and licenses where required

Requirements

  • Prior senior pharmaceutical sales leadership experience
  • Hunter mentality, strong sales skills, strategic thinking, relationship management
  • Established relationships within the pharmaceutical and biotech marketplace desired
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry in roles with progressively increasing responsibilities in Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Strategic Planning or Business Development
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in contract management software (e.g., Sales Force) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Resilient and strong problem solver
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record required
  • Willing to travel nationally as needed
  • Residence near a major airport a plus
