About the role
- Lead, coach, and mentor full-time and part-time grassroots staff to recruit volunteers and mobilize communities
- Oversee the state's voter-contact operations and policy-related mobilization efforts
- Manage the state chapter's relationships with internal and external partners
- Supervise and implement the team's contractor recruitment strategy
- Travel across the state as needed to meet with people and support operations
- Serve as Director of Grassroots Operations for Americans for Prosperity–Missouri
Requirements
- Leadership skills; strong supervising skills and humility
- Passion for people and ability to build relationships with diverse individuals
- Ability to inspire and motivate volunteers and staff
- Organization skills and ability to manage multiple events and activities
- Valid driver's license to travel across the state as needed
- Enthusiasm for AFP's principled approach and commitment to organizational culture
- Knowledge of the political, economic, and legislative landscape of Florida (standout)
- Background in grassroots activism, political lobbying, canvassing, or campaign work
- Proven experience leading staff
