About the role
- Assist Taxpayer Defense Center with substantive research, authoring, and editing assistance in preparing motions and amicus curiae briefs to appellate courts and reports on important legal and economic issues relating to tax.
- Participate in professional development programming (every other Thursday 1–3:30 PM ET and a 2-day in-person summit in Arlington, VA).
- Interview with partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff.
Requirements
- Eligible candidates will be geographically located within the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. through the duration of the program.
- Preference to applicants who have completed at least one year of law school by the start of the clerkship.
- Some familiarity with economic principles.
- Demonstrated interest in federal and state constitutional law and/or tax law (Commerce Clause, Due Process Clause, Equal Protection Clause, state uniformity clauses).
- Qualified candidates must submit a cover letter detailing their interest in the position and NTUF’s mission.
