About the role
- Provide strategic leadership and management to a team of Assistant Credit Managers (ACMs) and District Credit Managers (DCMs)
- Directly oversee a designated portfolio of accounts
- Utilize delegated credit authority to review and make high-stakes decisions on credit applications
- Continuously assess and adjust credit lines within authorized limits
- Implement company credit policies related to write-offs and collection placements
- Collaborate across departments to streamline credit management processes
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the AR and territories overseen by direct reports
- Foster a culture of high performance and professional development within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in credit management
- Proven track record of successfully overseeing teams in a decentralized structure
- Demonstrated ability in approving or declining credit applications and managing job accounts
- Experience in making decisions regarding credit line adjustments within assigned authority levels
- Proficiency in credit management software and tools
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on risk assessment and credit evaluation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
