About the role
- Sprout Social is looking to hire an Account Executive, Enterprise (Public Sector) to the Sales & Success team
- Prospect, develop and close sales opportunities with both new logos and existing customers in the public sector segment
- Own your numbers - consistently meet and exceed your activity goals to build a fruitful pipeline that will provide consistent quota retirement
- Establish deep relationships within your book of business through multi-threading, achieving both executive or VP level and end user engagement
- Within 1 month: complete new hire training and onboarding; define success metrics; meet with Enterprise Sales team; shadow AE on calls; deep platform learning; customize value propositions
- Within 3 months: meet all existing customers; identify top logo opportunities; expand offerings within existing customers; maintain pipeline
- Within 6 months: build relationships at the C-Level; travel to meet critical customers quarterly; become Sprout Social expert; consistently achieve revenue targets
- Within 12 months: mentor BDR; share best practices; lead and continue performance

Requirements
- 3.5+ years of closing experience in B2B sales
- Proven success selling/cross-selling to enterprise organizations
- Ability to manage a large number of prospective accounts and identify problems, opportunities and consultatively provide solutions for each of them
- Experience selling into the public sector
- Experience building relationships, presenting and selling to senior level decision makers across multiple functions
- Experience working with third-party resellers
- SaaS experience preferred
- Experience working with internal partners and cross-functional stakeholders to increase deal momentum and exceed both prospects and customers expectations
