About the role

  • Translate critical thinking into clear designs and content for Spotify’s global communications team across various formats and mediums.
  • Design graphics, both still and motion, for internal and external use supporting multiple comms activations and initiatives.
  • Act as day-to-day motion design support for content creation for Spotify’s internal and external communications channels and event production.
  • Create storyboards, treatments and develop concepts; pull visual and cultural references to define ideas that further the Spotify brand and resonate with audiences.
  • Generate solid concepts independently and as part of a distributed team.
  • Work collaboratively with a network of freelancers and external design, production, multimedia agencies.
  • Be accountable for every last detail of your work, every step of the way.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience at an in-house agency, ad-agency, digital agency, or graphic design agency (bonus if supporting global marketing and communications/PR campaigns).
  • 3+ years of experience working in the following areas and applications: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Lottie and Rive (desirable).
  • Proven track record of delivering brilliant motion design.
  • Incredible designer with strong principles of animation, visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and effective use of color.
  • Understand brands and ability to work with brand guidelines while creating designs.
  • Ability to adapt content ideas and designs to communication strategies and communicate design priorities and principles to partners.
  • Comfortable working as part of a global team; create culturally attuned designs, translate into other languages, and adapt imagery/data for market use.
  • Great communicator with skills to set up frameworks and brainstorm initial design concepts.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, able to establish strong positive relationships and collaborate to solve problems.
  • Effective time management; ability to create high-quality work in a fast-paced environment and incorporate feedback from multiple collaborators across global teams.
  • Confident multi-tasker who ensures work is completed within given deadlines.
