About the role
- Own the product vision and roadmap for Spark’s internal systems that manage broker payments, data flows, and operational automation.
- Simplify complexity. Build a clear understanding of our end-to-end workflows — how data moves, where it breaks, and how to make it resilient. Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Ops, Data, Finance, and Compliance to align on priorities and design scalable systems.
- Drive measurable outcomes, such as reducing manual touches, accelerating payment cycles, and improving data accuracy.
- Write crisp specs for high-leverage features: from ETL improvements to new automation tools.
- Shape the product culture by mentoring other PMs, evolving our processes, and helping scale Product at Spark.
- Operate hands-on, reviewing data models, digging into dashboards, and validating complex workflows yourself.
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing the development of web-based products
- Prior experience developing internal facing tools a strong plus
- Deep sense of accountability over identifying core problems and translating them to clear business objectives
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience managing senior internal stakeholders
- Analytical approach to feature development and prioritization
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments
- Experience with SQL or other analytical tools
- Prior experience building products and services in a healthcare or insurtech environment a plus
