About the role
- Execute and refine the affiliate strategy across Canada and the United States, managing commission structures, budgets, and performance targets to drive sustainable, incremental growth
- Identify, recruit, and negotiate with top-tier publishers, review sites, and strategic partners; secure premium placements that expand reach and strengthen competitive positioning
- Optimize the active partner mix in a crowded, competitive category using performance insights and testing to improve revenue efficiency, conversion rates, and partner quality over time
- Manage weekly reporting and forecasting; utilize data to identify trends, optimize spend, and analyze the incrementality of affiliate traffic against other channels
- Oversee platform operations and tracking accuracy, managing commission validation and upholding brand standards to prevent fraud and ensure all partner content is compliant
- Partner with SEO, Content, PR, and Paid Media teams to align affiliate activity with broader marketing goals, maximizing search visibility and ensuring a cohesive customer journey
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is an asset
- 3+ years of dedicated experience in affiliate marketing across Canada and the United States, ideally within a high-growth DTC or e-commerce environment
- Be knowledgeable on the major players (publishers, networks, sub-networks) and how the ecosystem works
- Strong analytical skills and be comfortable analyzing large datasets to translate clicks, conversions, and attribution windows into clear insights and actionable recommendations for the wider team
- Be comfortable reaching out to third parties to pitch a deal
- Strong experience in negotiation and be able to negotiate hard for premium placements and CPA rates that protect our margins while motivating partners
- Hands-on experience managing affiliate platforms (e.g., Impact)
- Understanding of pixels, tracking parameters, and ability troubleshoot attribution issues without needing a developer for every small fix
- Work collaboratively and partner with SEO, PR, and Content teams to maximize reach, bringing a forward-looking understanding of how affiliate content influences AI-driven search and GEO
- Ability to thrive in a crowded category while being proactive about monitoring competitors and constantly looking for the "next market share big win"
